Yoga Teacher in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire

Yoga helps to restore physical, mental and emotional balance both on and off the mat. While yoga will stretch & tone body, reduce stress, aid sleep, help prevent injury, boost immunity, mood & confidence, and makes us feel great, these are really bi-products along the path to connecting to one’s true self; a place from where we’re better able to serve ourselves and others. Service to others is an important part of my life as a mum of three, nurse, and yoga teacher. I am absolutely a work in progress, and Yoga helps me to stay present and grounded so I can try to give my best while at the same time nourish myself; a foundational discipline from which to live a more balanced, compassionate & conscious life.

I found and fell in love with yoga in 2000 when I took my first class at the age of eighteen, with my Mum. Since then Yoga’s been a continuous thread- and sanctuary- through my life. In 2013 I qualified as RYT200 with Yoga London and have been teaching adult Vinyasa Flow Yoga classes in and around Beaconsfield ever since. In 2014, while pregnant with my second child, I trained with Cherie Lathey at YogaMamas in Pregnancy Yoga, returning for Postnatal certification in 2016. I trained to teach Yoga and Mindfulness to Children aged two to twelve with Jyoti Jo Manuel and Ayala Homossaney in 2017 at Special Yoga Foundation and have held various school yoga clubs, workshops and children’s classes since. Now in my tenth year of teaching, I practice and continue to learn with my teacher Stewart Gilchrist at East London School of Yoga, and have completed my RYT500 Advanced Teacher Training with Jason Crandell. I’m grateful to have trained & practiced with many wonderful teachers over the years, and to have supported others in their own training & see them too grow in to great teachers, many of whom I’m lucky to count as friends as well as colleagues.

I’m a fully independent yoga teacher. It’s just me. My autonomy is really precious to me, as is my professional independence & integrity, and being able to accommodate my students’ needs personally. Anyone & anywhere I choose to work with, recommend or affiliate myself with is free from any obligation and comes directly from my own heart and experience.

Teaching is my livelihood as well as my passion. I know my yogis by name, body and breath, each practicing with their own unique and beautiful strengths & challenges; I’m grateful for each and every one of them.
